1. Debt Collections
We help our clients improve their cash flow status by giving them the best and timely services in debt recovery. We conduct ourselves with professionalism where extreme care is observed to avoid jeopardizing the relationship between the client and the debtor. We provide weekly/monthly reports on progress of the debt collection exercise.
More often than not the in-house accountant is so busy that they neglect debt collection; the result is that customers exceed their credit limits, some even refuse to pay. It is due to this knowledge that Michex Limited decided to bridge the gap. In addition, we have our internal lawyers who assist in debt recovery processes if need arises.
We endeavor to provide efficient debt collection management services. This is either in house or tradition method where client gives us a debt to collect at the rates between 10% – 30% + VAT depending on the age, value of the debt and distance of the debtor. We operate on the principle “no collection no commission” after evaluating all the debts to be outsourced.
2. Credit Referencing
To serve our clients better in their debt management, we have been appointed by Metropol Credit Reference Bureau (AGENT NO. 005006) which will greatly enhance the capacity to curb credit risks and thus improve cash flow in business. We update our clients on their CRB Status and facilitate issuance of credit reports and clearance certificates.
3. Financial & Tax Consultants
We provide Accounting, bookkeeping, tax and auditing activities geared to aid your business growth. Our team of financial and tax consultants will work with you, all year around to ensure your status with the taxman is healthy. We advise on tax issues and other statutory deductions remittance and returns on time including VAT, PAYE, NHIF, NSSF.
4. Commercial Investigations
We help our clients in tracing debtors who have changed their business address, physical location, employers, telephone numbers and residence where we charge a reasonable commission or a flat rate depending on the value of debt.
5. Skip Tracing
We provide this great service to our clients and other businesses that need to locate their debtors who have moved or are hiding to avoid clearing their obligations. In basic terms, skip tracing (or skip locating) is the act of finding someone who has left (or “skipped”) town. In a skip tracing case the person being located (known as the person of interest, or POI) doesn’t wish to be found. This is an important point of distinction. Often, the purposes of these cases is debt collection – a person of interested has “skipped town” to avoid their debt.
6. Accounts Receivables Management
Our accounts receivable management services incorporate all about ensuring that customers pay their invoices as per agreed credit terms in terms of period and limit. Good accounts receivables management helps prevent overdue payment or non-payment. It is therefore a quick and effective way to strengthen the company’s financial or liquidity position. We provide in-house training on accounts receivable management including reconciliations, statement dispatch, payment negotiations and tips to ensure timely and full payment of debts. We provide monthly report on progress.
